The York County Heritage Trust Blog is officially up and running! We are very excited about the possibilities, and look forward to anchoring our social media program with this varied and colorful channel for all things historic! We’ll talk about fascinating and diverse programming offered by our Education Department (like last weekend’s Second Saturday program about the Lincoln Highway) and fun fundraisers that help support our mission (like our upcoming Art & Leisure Auction). We’ll also delve deep into our phenomenal library and archives, and share the fascinating process of developing new exhibits and preserving the precious things in our collections. We’ll also share some of the amazing things that our Members and Volunteers are doing in our organization and at our sites, and keep you up to date on the constant challenges of keeping those sites maintained and interpreted in such a way that they are true to their individual stories. Best of all, we’ll have frequent guests, from our back yard in York, from our great state of Pa., and from across the country. Our hope is that you’ll follow us here, whether you are a history buff, a museum maven, a parent, or a young adult with a passion for things of the past. Join us on our new journey! See you here–or at the Trust!
